Endings & Beginnings

The period of greatest gain in knowledge and experience is the most difficult period in one’s life. Through a difficult period you can learn; you can develop inner strength, determination and courage to face the problems. ~His Holiness the Dalai Lama

We don’t receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us. ~Marcel Proust

The great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, but in what direction we are moving. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes

This could be my last post to this blog, at least for a time. It has marked my spiritual journey now for nearly two years, and I am finding it less and less compelling to write here. Most of the posts are timeless, and I hope others will continue to find quotes and commentary that is helpful or makes them think. I still welcome and will respond to comments.

As I begin the next phase of my life, I wish you well. Thanks to all who’ve stopped by.

We should all do what, in the long run, gives us joy, even if it is only picking grapes or sorting the laundry. ~E. B. White

The next message you need is always right where you are. ~Ram Dass

Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you. ~Maori proverb

Thanks so much, Barb & Donna! I am starting a consulting business at the moment (lynhopper.com), so that will keep me busy for a while, since I have a full-time job as well! But I will definitely post here if I decide to continue this blog or begin a new blog later. It’s been great fun. Meanwhile, you can email me at lynhopper@windstream.net anytime! I would love hearing from you. Namaste.
